The Three Stages of the Ceremony

The ceremony unfolds in three stages, with kavanot and holy names

The lead pieces used in the ceremony (illustration only)
  1. Reading verses of Psalms

Eleven verses of Psalms that begin and end with the letter Nun are read; they are known as a segulah for guarding and protection. The Rabbi sends a personal photo with a short explanation of the shape that formed.

  2. Melting the Kabbalistic lead

A piece of lead is melted and poured into cold water, together with holy kavanot using names from the Kabbalah.

  3. Nullifying and dissolving the lead

The lead is nullified and broken down until it becomes spiritual ash, alongside the Rabbi's recommendations and guidance for the road ahead. A traditional process that can help disperse negative influences, renew one's energy, and bring new strength and positive influences into life.

What is Pidyon Nefesh?

Pidyon Nefesh (“redemption of the soul”) is a profound spiritual tikkun based on the Kabbalistic kavanot of the holy Rashash, of blessed memory.

Its main purpose is to bring a person's spirit into balance, restore peace of mind, neutralize negative influences and tensions, and bring blessing, salvation and protection into their life.

The tikkun is performed by the Rabbi using holy names, special kavanot, and 160 silver-colored coins to transform judgment into mercy. After the tikkun, the redemption money is given in full to charity in your merit.

Pidyon Nefesh is considered an ancient and powerful tool for facing life's challenges, strengthening faith and trust, attaining inner peace, and opening new paths. Many turn to this tikkun in times of crisis, or when they feel unrest or a sense of being “stuck” in their lives.

People often experience challenges and delays in their lives. Our sources teach that through repentance, prayer, charity and a suitable spiritual tikkun one can, with God's help, strengthen one's protection, open blockages of mazal, and find the strength and guidance to overcome obstacles.
